Kangana Ranaut’s latest film Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata has received a major boost as the Haryana government announced that the film will be made tax-free in the state. The announcement was made by Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini after attending a special screening of the film.
Speaking after the screening, the Chief Minister said films carrying inspirational themes should reach wider audiences and stated that Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata deserves to be watched by more people. The tax exemption is expected to improve accessibility for audiences across Haryana.
Directed by Manoj Tapadia, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata is based on the real-life courage shown by nurses and healthcare workers at Mumbai’s Cama Hospital during the 26/11 terror attacks. The film places its focus on survival, duty and the human stories that unfolded during one of the country’s darkest chapters.
The film marks another significant project for Kangana Ranaut as she balances her film career alongside public life. Ahead of release, the film had also generated attention after Kangana revealed that actor John Abraham had given the title Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata to the team without any financial exchange.
Released on June 12, the film has been showing gradual growth at the box office during its opening weekend while competing with multiple releases in theatres. The tax-free status is expected to add momentum to its theatrical run in the coming days.
